Over the past year Firefighter Justin Withrow has been training a new PVFD recruit. She is a Golden Retriever named Willow who is trained in several aspects of K-9 search & Rescue. With this new asset the Pinch community along with many other areas now have quick access to K-9 Search & Rescue. Willow can be used to locate lost children and adults, community relations and honestly everyone just likes having a dog around the firehouse.
