August 20, 2009

Around 7:45am on Thursday morning the Pinch Fire Department was dispatched to a two vehicle motor vehicle crash with reported entrapment and injuries. One vehicle was also reported to be on fire. Engine 23 was the first to arrive on scene. The initial report was heavy damage, one vehicle with an engine fire, and three patients on the ground. The entrapped patient had been freed, and the fire held in check by good Samaritans on the scene prior to our arrival. Engine 23, with assistance from Utility 25, extinguished the remaining fire, and assisted Kanawha County EMS with patient care and packaging. All three patients were transported to a local hospital.

Units: Engine 23 Utility 25
