For the first time Pinch, Frame, and Clendenin fire departments participated in the "Fire on the Field" slow-pitch softball tournament. The round-robin format took place at the ballfield near Clendenin elementary school. Game 1 posted CVFD against FVFD, with Clendenin winning the first game. The next game was between FVFD and PVFD. Pinch won the second game of the afternoon. The third and final game was between Pinch and Clendenin, both teams unbeaten. PVFD took and early lead in the first inning and never looked back, crushing Clendenin 16-1, and taking home the golden axe trophy. Despite the fierce cut throat competition all players had a great time and enjoyed the fellowship.
