By FF Adam Neal
June 25, 2009

On Thursday June 25, 2009 around 11:30 pm, the Pinch Volunteer Fire Department along with Charleston FD & the WV Air Guard FD were dispatched for a single vehicle rollover in the 1500 block of Greenbrier Street. Upon arrival, we found a single vehicle on its top, over the hill, in the creek, half submerged in the water. Power lines had also been pulled down by the vehicle. Firefighters along with paramedics from Kanawha County EMS immediately freed the patient from the wreckage, despite all efforts, unfortunately nothing could be done to save his life. The wreck is being investigated by the WV state police and medical examiner's office.

Units: Engine 23 , Rescue 2, & Utility 25

Mutual Aid: Charleston FD & PD, WVANG FD & PD, KCEAA, KCSD, & WVSP
