| At our Thursday night drill and training, 19 Pinch VFD members, participated in an Introduction to Rope Rescue in-service training secession taught by Firefighter/EMT Jon Coleman. The evening began with a PowerPoint presentation covering rope safety, NFPA standards, terminology, and cleaning and storage of rope and associated equipment. After that, the members trained on tying a dozen different knots, hitches, and bends. The training will be continued soon with an operations level class in both low and high angle rescue. |
