In the early morning hours of January 3, 2021 Pinch VFD was alerted of a working residential structure fire. Prior to Pinch VFD arriving on scene Kanawha County Ambulance Paramedics Lauren Sparks and Nick Blankenship along with Kanawha County Deputy Sheriff Bryan Crosier went above and beyond their normal specified duties. The 3 successfully rescued several pets and with a garden hose kept the kitchen fire in check until fire units arrived. This minimized the damage to the rest of the structure. Pinch VFD would like to officially recognize them for the hard work that made for a much improved outcome and continuing the great working relationship Pinch VFD has with both departments to provide exceptional service to the citizens of Kanawha County.
