On Wednesday, March 2nd, members of the Pinch Vol. Fire Department along with the Kanawha County Sheriff's Department were on hand at the Pinch VFD main station for the arrival of their newly donated ATV. The Sheriff's Department graciously donated this vehicle to assist the department with daily operations along with assisting members to gain access in rural areas of our fire district. The vehicle is a 2004 Kawasaki Mule that has been in operation at the Sheriff's Department. Chief Deputy Mike Rutherford addressed the department on Wednesday saying "we felt the vehicle would be able to serve your department and citizens greater than it serves us."

The Pinch Vol. Fire Department would like to thank the Kanawha County Sheriff's Department along with the Kanawha County Commission for the donation of this vehicle. The vehicle is currently housed at the main station in Pinch until equipment can be installed on it.
