PINCH, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- One student in Kanawha County made quite the entrance at school Thursday morning.

Kendell Tucker from Bridge Elementary School arrived in a ladder fire truck.

Tucker won the Pinch Volunteer Fire Department's annual coloring contest. As the winner she got to pick which fire truck would take her to school.

As the ladder truck arrived at Bridge Elementary about 7 a.m. Thursday, Tucker found her classmates and teachers lining the sidewalks, welcoming her with lots of cheers.

75 students participated in the contest from several elementary schools, including Shoals, Bridge, Pinch Elk Elementary Center and Elk Valley Christian School. Firefighters say that's the most they've had since they started the competition
