February 13, at approx. 0100 in the morning Station 2 was alerted of a fire in Big Chimney above the Smith's super market. Engine 23 was first on scene, reporting a single story, vacant structure that was fully in involved . Shortly after the other engines and tower truck from St. 2, and mutal aid company's from Frame and Clendenin arrived to assist. Crews had to battle the temperatures in the teens making it harder to battle the fire due to the water on the ground and tools freezing.
