On 12/03/2014 at 17:19, Pinch Fire Department was dispatched to a reported Structure Fire in the area of Meadowbrook Drive in the Rutledge area. Crews responded to the area finding light smoke in the area and determined the fire to be located on Beech Street. Upon arriving on scene crews found a two story block structure fully involved in fire. Crews immediately went to work extinguishing the fire and performing overhaul.

The house was abandoned at the time of the fire and the cause is still under investigation at this time. No injuries were reported throughout the incident. Malden Fire Department also responded as part of an automatic mutual aid agreement, but was returned to service shortly after crews arrived on scene.
