Live Fire Training Exercise

On Saturday, November 15th Pinch VFD had a unique opportunity to conduct live fire training in a residence where we had responded to earlier in the year for a fire in the laundry room. The structure was a total loss, however was still in good enough shape to train in, and the owners extended an invitation to do just that. Several members from Pinch and Clendenin Volunteer Fire Departments were given the opportunity to experience live fire conditions in a training environment. Members also practiced with new and innovative techniques, which we have been discussing in a classroom setting. Both flow-path control and transitional fire attacks were practiced with great success. After training exercises were complete the structure was allowed to burn to allow the owners to move a modular home onto the property.
