On 10/13/2014 at 23:29, Pinch Fire Department was alerted to respond for a possible structure fire at the Go-Mart in Elkview along Frame Rd. Crews from Clendenin and Frame Fire Departments were also alerted to respond as mutual aid companies. Tower Ladder 2 was the first unit to arrive on scene, advising incoming companies of light smoke showing inside the structure from an unknown origin at this time. Crews immediately went to work setting up the tower for roof access and deploying a hand line to begin the investigation process.

Engine 23 arrived shortly after establishing a secure water source and assisting the Tower company with investigating the source of the smoke. Crews from Frame and Clendenin Fire Departments arrived on scene and were assigned tasks.

Within a matter of minutes, crews were able to find the source of the smoke coming from an outside air conditioning unit.

Crews ventilated the building and removed all harzards. Mutual Aid companies were returned to service shortly afterwards.

No injuries reported throughout the incident.
