Early Afternoon Crash

At approximately 2:00 pm on July 11, 2014, Pinch Volunteer Fire Department was toned for an accident with ejection and possible vehicle fire at the 7 mile marker I-79 North bound. Rescue 2 was the first apparatus on the road quickly followed by Engine 22. Rescue 2 arrived on scene to find a single vehicle in the median, that had appearantly rolled over ejecting the driver. The patient had been loaded by Kanawha Medics 297 & 19. Fire units set up command and went to work diverting traffic away from the crash site. There was one patient transported from the scene to the local trauma facility. Once the scene was secured, the scene was turned over to Kanawha County Sheriffs Department, uwhere they will be conducting an investigation of the crash. Charleston Police Department is also assisting the Kanawha County Sheriffs Department in their investigation.
