On 5/3 at 1129 hrs. Pinch Fire Department was alerted to a reported working structure fire on Conner Drive in the Mink Shoals area. Within minutes crews from Pinch responded. When crews arrived on scene they found a single story structure fully involved with fire. Crews immediately went to work by securing a water source via hydrant, deploying hand-lines, and setting up the Tower Ladder for aerial operations.

Crews found that no one was home at the time of the fire however the structure was deemed a total loss. No injuries were reported throughout the entire incident. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Crews from Malden VFD and Sissonville VFD also responded as automatic mutual aid.

Units: Engine 22, Rescue 2, Squad 2, Tower Ladder 2, Kanawha County Ambulance, Kanawha County Emergency Management Unit 995
